(Toronto, March 7th, 2024) We are happy to announce the new Editorial published in JMIR Dermatology (JMIR Derm) entitled, “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion of Dermatology Journals and Their Editorial Board Members.” Dermatology as a whole suffers from minority underrepresentation. We conducted a search of the top 60 dermatology journals for mention of their approach to increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within their publication through editorial board members or peer-review processes. This Editorial was written by our esteemed Editor-in-Chief (EiC) for JMIR Derm Dr. Robert Dellavalle and his colleagues Julianne Kiene, Sarah Minion, and Ramiro Rodriguez. For the full Editorial, please see here.
