Due to increased artificial turf use, turf burn has become a common sports injury. Turf burn is caused by exposed skin sliding on artificial turf. Untreated turf burns are associated with methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) outbreaks, sepsis, and pneumonia [1].
