A growing number of studies discuss the influence of digital technologies on the compensation of diabetes mellitus disease [9,18-20,27]. Interventions are more often in the form of the use of mobile apps, web portals, email, SMS text messages, phone calls, and customized smart devices [6,9,27]. Interventions can include diabetes education, nutritional interventions, a physical activity plan, and blood pressure management [9,28,29].

In an early study, Wingate et al [18] compared the outcomes of compensation versus capitalization in the treatment of suicidality in young adults, finding results favoring COMPs, whereas other studies find results favoring CAPs [14,17]. According to the current sparse research, there is no agreement on which of these 2 strategies should be pursued in psychotherapy [14,17,19-22].

Most (63/72, 88%) studies assessed this type of compensation. The main models were (1) trunk compensation, (2) shoulder compensation, (3) elbow compensation, (4) finger compensation, and (5) others.
This model (46/63, 73% studies) measures the awkward movements of the trunk for the affected UE [15]. Trunk compensatory movements can occur in 3 anatomical planes (sagittal, transverse, and coronal) of the human body.

In terms of the controversial whiplash syndrome, countries in which there is an established compensation system for whiplash injury might be expected to have more Internet traffic and volume regarding whiplash injury than in countries without an established compensation system.
