Multivariable logistic regression models were built for morning stiffness (defined as stiffness and reduced mobility in the joints lasting >30 minutes after waking) and arthralgia (defined as joint pain without necessarily implying an underlying inflammatory process). Confounding was assessed by >10% change on variable removal.

A meta-analysis revealed that the overall pooled prevalence rate of AI-induced arthralgia was 45.9% in postmenopausal hormone receptor–positive patients with BC [5]. AI-related arthralgia includes the new onset of worsening joint pain, stiffness, and impaired function. Arthralgia can affect any joints but primarily affects the hips, knees, and wrists/hands, with 70% of women describing their joint pain as moderate to severe [6].
